A few years ago we were training our own staff within a catering company. We would induct the staff and train them in all the basics – Food Safety, Health & Safety with Manual Handling and Fire Marshall thrown in. This covered the areas that any Hospitality employer is legally obliged to do. But we wanted to go further – these guys were the face of our business and we wanted them to be knowledgeable, not only about our food but how to give fantastic customer service too. After being introduced to a national training provider we wrote a course and mapped this to an NVQ – a Level 2 in Customer Service. Over Christmas of 2008 we trained and assessed 60 staff and such were the benefits they themselves started telling their friends about the course. Their friends told their employers and soon we found that we were getting calls from other local businesses wanting us to do the same for them. From here Mizuna was born.
Six years on and we have worked with Independent and Multi National Hotel chains, Restaurants, Pubs, Pub Groups and Breweries. We have worked with the UK’s largest private Healthcare provider and single site owner operators. It matters not to us the size of your business, what matters is that you share our passion and drive to develop your workforce and people within it.
If you’re just starting out or moving up the ranks we know the industry and the skills you will need to get on. We want to see you achieve your goals and understand the potential this industry has to offer. With focused training we envisage supporting not just a job but a career to be excited about.
We specialise in the design and delivery of tailored work related training programmes across a wide sector of service organisations. Our Trainers and Tutor Assessors have proven track records and it’s on our expertise that you will be able to draw to support the development of you and/or your staff.
